Early 18th-Century Antique Stoneware Pilgrim Flask / Costrel, circa 1700-1710An early 18th Century antique stoneware pilgrim flask. Of circular form, with two carry handles that would have been used for securing a strap. These flank a circular aperture spout. The front of the flask has a raised "nipple" to the centre. Verso and at the base, both are flat. Decorated with salt glaze. This flask displays very well. Provenance Sourced within East Anglia, England. Condition Please refer to the images.
