The design was further refined and developed into the A6M Zero. The A5M was given the allied code name "Claude" and it operated over the skies of China in the early stages of World War II. Many Japanese Zero pilots gained a great deal of experience and air victories while flying the A5M. Wingspan 19 3 4 inches, Length 14 inches.
