Shafts are made from 52100 Bearing steel, through hardened and precision ground. Needle Bearings are made from 52100 bearing steel and ARC61 65 heat treated ST13 steel shell.

Great seal and it looks nice
I was a little worried after reading some of the reviews but I LOVE this thing. It looks beautiful and the seal works really well. I had it seasoning for a few weeks and when I finally added in some cigars I waited and watched and the humidity seemed to level out about 76 which I was more than happy with in terms of effectiveness. It's a perfect size, and even though it was pretty cheap it feels sturdy and durable and I really feel like I got more than my moneys worth in it's value.
