Early Days
Some examples of publications dating back to the early days of my activities:
Aviation Week & Space Technology (AWST)
In the early morning of April 6th, 1994 I was able to portray the Royal Jordanian Falcons team from the rear ramp of a Casa 212 of the Royal Jordanian Air Force. Flying over the spectacular Wadi Rum desert north of Aqaba the windless conditions created a once in a lifetime opportunity. One of the pictures was elected as the “Best of the Best” in the 1994 AWST photo contest. The framed fold out cover is prominently present in my office as a reminder of this exciting highlight. In later years several of my pictures qualified for inclusion in the ‘honorable mentions’ section. One even with a two page spread.
Piloot & Vliegtuig “In the Picture”
The October 1997 issue of the Dutch aviation monthly Piloot & Vliegtuig included my first contribution to their “In the Picture” feature that combines a centerspread with a description of the aircraft featured and additional photography. Meanwhile I have truly enjoyed providing text and photography for now well over 200 issues and hopefully this process will continue for a long time to come.

International Society for Aviation Photography (ISAP)

“Kontakt!”
The first issue of the quarterly magazine “Kontakt!” (= contact!) of the Royal Netherlands Air Force Historical Flight (KLuHV) was published in March 2007. An A5 sized follow up to an already existing non illustrated internal newsletter for participants. After a short intermission (2010-2012) the magazine continued in a new A4 lay out. Sadly, due to several circumstances, the publication was discontinued after the December 2023 issue. An intended web based successor unfortunately did not materialize so far. Together with a very dedicated team it was a delight to participate in the production of this magazine for such a long time.

“Vleugels”
Previously named "Verenigde Vleugels" this bi-monthly Dutch magazine represents the activities of a broad range of Dutch foundations and societies involved in historic aviation. On behalf of the KLuHV I participate in the editorial process, but also on other subjects I provided many contributions since the first issue was published in May 1999.
Ian Allan & Key Publishing
For many years I enjoyed excellent contacts with the editors of the Ian Allan publications Aircraft Illustrated and Armed Forces and they were a big help several times in obtaining special facilities. Both magazines are no longer active under those names and were partially absorbed into the activities of Key Publishing. Their publications Flypast, Aeroplane Monthly , Air Forces Monthly and Combat Aircraft have made multiple use of my texts and photography.
De Vliegende Hollander / Onze Luchtmacht / AVIA / Luchtvaart(wereld) / Plane Owner-AOPA Magazine
All of these Dutch magazines have included many of my pictures. Both “AVIA” and “Luchtvaart” ( later named “Luchtvaartwereld”) stopped activities already long ago.
